My main goal was to find boots that fit my skinny calves. I ordered several pairs from thumbbags and these were keepers. They are super comfortable and look good with skinny jeans or short skirts. The tie on the back allows a perfect fit no matter your calf size. You can tie a bow on the back which is cute, or you can tuck it inside the boot if you want a simpler look. The height is versatile: you can roll them up, down, scrunch them, etc. They are probably best worn in the fall'winter because of the material.
